October 20 to October 25 – what an amazing journey! Seven students from 9J and 9I, along with two teachers, embarked on an adventure to Spain. Under the proeminent topic of Sustainability, the whole group travelled to Badajoz by bus to meet their hosts at Sopeña High School, where they also met the Italian students and teachers that participate in this mobility.
The students got the chance to live with a Spanish family for a week, which allowed them to learn about a different culture in spite of some similarities with their own. When in Sopeña, both students and teachers had the chance to take part in different activities, mostly dedicated to Sustainability and the European Union. The whole group, along with the Spanish and Italian students and teachers went on two field trips, one in Badajoz itself related to environmental issues about the Guadiana River, and the other to Olivenza where everyone learned about papercraft works. All in all, this mobility showed how enriching these experiences can be to both students and teachers.
